The history of the company Giunti SpA dates back to September 1945, when a small private enterprise was started in the region of Umbria (Central Italy) for renting irrigation pumps and pipes to the local farmers.
During the years fifties, that first activity boomed with the introduction of the customary irrigation of the crops in the Italian agriculture ; the factory was equipped with a first production line for steel pipings fitted with quick-action couplings, with other two lines following in a short time.
The further development of the activity in the years seventies and eighties suggested a strategy with different locations of the manufacturing premises, so a first sister factory Co.Ge.Ir. S.p.A. was founded in the region of Catania (Sicily), then a second company I.M.G. near Pescara (Abruzzi), with a third company CO.M.IR. coming up for manufacturing Hose-reel irrigation machines ever since they appeared in the market.
The strategy of the group has changed since the early years, moving from a simple manufacture of quick-coupling steel pipes to a well experienced supplier of irrigation solutions and water distribution in the world market.
